Hello!!

I am Mara-Marie but you can call me Mara! Thank you for taking the time to visit my website and giving my business the chance to grow!

I was born in a small town known as Ladysmith, where I completed school and got my first job as a journalist. This is where I first discovered my passion for photography. I got married at the age of 18 and after a year my husband and I relocated to Durban. We now have a beautiful daughter, who loves being my model.

I currently work during the week as an educator in a nursery school and persue my photograpy on weekends but I am hopefull that I will be able to do it fulltime in the near future.

The name Hartzenberg Photography came from my maiden surname as I wanted to leave a little legacy for my late father. I am a very sentimental person and this way I get to share something important to me with you.

I love working with people and I aim to make you feel comfortable infornt of the camera. I also love to capture those special moments and capturing the moments you never want to forget. In saying that I am an allrounder when it comes to photography, I enjoy photographing objects (like cars) as much as I enjoy photographing people. I love hearing the stories behind the objects, products or animals I photograph, those stories are what make the photoshoot special.
